As a commitment to develop the next generation of Firefox 4, the Mozilla development team has released the seventh beta version of Firefox 4. Similar to the previous version, Firefox 4 beta 7 is also still based on the Gecko 2.0 platform and includes many features, enhancement and improvement for desktop users and developers alike.
New features and improvements in Firefox 4 beta 7:
* Using JagerMonkey, a new JavaScript engine is faster.
* WebGL enabled by default on Windows and Mac OS X. Support WebGL require OpenGL-capable graphics card. Support for other graphics cards on Windows (specifically Intel GPU) and Linux will be available in beta version that will come.
* Operation particular rendering using hardware-accelerated Direct3D 9 on Windows XP, Direct3D 10 on Windows Vista and 7 and OpenGL on Mac OS X. * Improved web typography using OpenType with support for ligatures, kerning and font variants.
